Transport systems and mobility services
A research group of BME's Department of Transport Technology and Economics, working in three areas: journey planning information systems, public bus services and urban parking systems.
Activities
Journey planning information systemsFor developers of passenger information and journey planning systems
- Evaluating and further developing the operating models of journey planners
- Calculating the probability that a route can be completed, from historical and real-time vehicle telegram data
- Determining the impedance functions and values for the elements of transfer walking matrices, and fitting the matrix data into a probabilistic model
Public bus servicesFor municipalities and transport operators
- Collecting demand and supply data; multi-criteria analysis and evaluation
- Drawing up proposals to develop the network and the service
- Multi-criteria comparison of design alternatives
- Preparing decisions and supporting implementation
Urban parking systemsFor municipalities and parking operators
- Exploring the demand and supply characteristics of on-street, surface car park and multi-storey car park parking from primary and secondary data; multi-criteria analysis and evaluation
- Drawing up development proposals
- Multi-criteria comparison of design alternatives
- Preparing decisions and supporting implementation
